The Hoff has Germany and, apparently, Hugh Laurie has France.

The House star's decade-old spy spoof novel, The Gun Seller, topped French bestseller list Livres Hebdo for the month of March, the BBC reports.

The translation, called Tout Est Sous Controle—or Everything's Under Control, in English—launched in the très chic country in January. For the actor's British countrymen and Americans, the tome is nothing new, having been released in 1996.

The story follows an ex-soldier who accidentally gets wrapped up in a James Bond-esque web of terrorists, weapons and intrigue.
