Gwyneth Paltrow Tells Joaquin Phoenix to Get Real

As Joaquin Phoenix's Two Lovers (his Bye! Good Hollywood film) costar, Gwyneth Paltrow must have some sort of insight into what is going on with the struggling rapper/star of Casey Affleck's eventual documentary. And just like the rest of us, she's not sure if he's forreal, but she highly doubts it.

"I think that there might be some other explanation or something going on," she told MTV U.K. "I'm not quite sure what, but I can't believe that he's really going to quit forever to become a rapper. It seems...odd."

But just because she doesn't know what's going on with him doesn't mean she can't bestow a little GOOP wisdom upon poor, misguided Joaquin.

"What advice would I give to Joaquin? Hmmm...maybe to go live in the projects for a few years to get some authenticity, maybe."

That Gwyneth, she always knows the best place to get anything, whether it's a contemporary midcentury sink or a little street cred.
