While the drama regarding his estate, his children and the circumstances of his death aren't likely to rest for months to come, it's time for Michael Jackson himself to rest in peace.

Tuesday is the big day for both his private funeral and very public memorial event.

The star's close family members will gather at Forest Lawn Cemetery bright and early at 8 a.m. for a private funeral service.

Then, they'll make their way through traffic to the Staples Center for the 10 a.m. PT show.

Joe, Katherine, Jackie, Tito, Marlon, Jermaine, Randy, LaToya, Rebbie and Janet Jackson will all be there.

Debbie Rowe, however, will not. Her lawyers tell E! News that the mother of the star's two oldest children's "attendance would be an unnecessary distraction to an event that should focus exclusively on Michael's legacy" and that she "will continue to celebrate Michael's memory privately."

That said, some serious star power will be turning out in the King of Pop's honor...

Judge Removes Mom From Control of Michael Jackson's Estate

The keys to Michael Jackson's kingdom have just been ripped from his mother's hands.

Over the objections of Katherine Jackson, a Los Angeles probate judge today ruled that Michael Jackson's 2002 will is indeed valid and that, per the King of Pop's wishes, attorney John Branca and veteran music executive John McClain are executors of his estate.

Lawyers for Jackson's mother wanted Judge Mitchell Beckloff to delay the decision. One of her lawyers, John Schreiber, argued that "there is concern over handing over the keys to the kingdom so quickly."

Her attorneys also suggested that because McClain suffers from a disability, he is unfit to make decisions on Michael's estate, which is estimated to be worth more than $500 million.

But Beckloff refused, telling Schreiber, "Someone needs to be at the helm of the ship."

Three's Company Third Wheel Joyce DeWitt Busted for DUI

Three's Company ABC

Joyce DeWitt is in trouble with da law.

The actress only best known for playing third fiddle to John Ritter and Suzanne Somers on Three's Company has been rung up by SoCal cops for apparently a little too much prefireworks celebrating on the Fourth.

DeWitt was busted Saturday around 4:30 p.m. on suspicion of DUI, El Segundo Police Sgt. Dean Howard tells E! News.

"An officer saw DeWitt drive a vehicle past a barricade intended to control vehicular traffic near a park," says Howard. "As the officer spoke with DeWitt, he observed signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication."

DeWitt, 60, whiffed a series of field sobriety test and was hauled away to the station for booking.

Debbie Rowe Skips Memorial in Wake of Paparazzi Bum Rush

Being the former Mrs. Michael Jackson ain't easy these days.

After being off the radar for years, Debbie Rowe, the mother of Jackson's two oldest children, is back in the paparazzi crosshairs.

On Sunday, as Rowe made her way to the Great Wall restaurant out in the relative boonies of Palmdale, Calif., she found herself fending off a swarm of shutterbugs, peppering her with questions about Jackson and her potential bid for custody of the kids. The onrush was too much for Rowe, who blurted out: "Are you ready to get your butt kicked? Don't [bleep]ing touch me!"

It might have also influenced Rowe to stay away from the Jackson media circus memorial Tuesday in L.A.

Rowe had originally planned on attending—Marc Schaffel, a former Jackson business associate and acquaintance of Rowe said as much during an appearance today on Good Morning America.

"Yes, Debbie will attend. We just got confirmation last night from the people who are handling the VIP seats," he said.

But then, a few hours later, her lawyer retracted the RSVP.

"Although Debbie had originally planned to attend tomorrow's Staples Center memorial service, we have concluded with Debbie that she will not be attending," said attorney Marta Almi.

"The onslaught of media attention has made it clear her attendance would be an unnecessary distraction to an event that should focus exclusively on Michael's legacy. Debbie will continue to celebrate Michael's memory privately."

More from The Awful Truth

After Michael Jackson's somewhat early passing, tons of questions have been raised about how exactly the talented pop star spent the last several years of his life.

Well, from what we're hearing from sources high up in Jackson's life, all of those broke rumors weren't exactly rumors at all.

We're told investors who bailed out Jackson last year never saw Michael's death coming. But now they may wind up making much more dough than they had originally thought...

Transformers Freezes Ice Age

And the tie goes to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Final returns today showed the giant-robot sequel edging out Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, $42.3 million to $41.7 million, for its second straight No. 1 weekend finish.

Yesterday, estimates provided by the franchises' two studios had the films deadlocked at $42.5 million. In the end, Dawn of the Dinosaur's Sunday came up about $1 million short of projections.

"Obviously, the Fourth of July weekend hurt it," said Exhibitor Relations box office analyst Jeff Bock, who'd expected family business to give Dawn of the Dinosaurs the crown. "It looked like it carried over into Sunday, too."

More from The Soup

A Playmate's life is filled with dilemmas, and for Kendra and her crew of BFF Hef vets, topping that list is whether or not to wear underwear on a night out in Vegas.

For a woman who's made a career out of going au naturel, you'd think giggly Kendra's relationship with underwear would be distant at best.

But, with the threat that "bugs might crawl up it," the shield of panties is a prudent wall of defense, indeed.

She sure looks like Rihanna, but the woman on Chris Brown's arm on the Fourth of July was not his ex-girlfriend.

The Ri-Ri look-alike was singer Teyana Taylor.

The two hit Sean "Diddy" Combs and Ashton Kutcher's Cîroc-sponsored White Party for Malaria No More. Inside the bash, held at a private Beverly Hills mansion, the two danced together and posed for pictures.

Brown also spent plenty of time hanging with Kanye West's on-again, off-again lady, Amber Rose...
