On the upcoming E! series The Royals, viewers will be dazzled by the incredible fashions that the fictional Queen Helena (played by Elizabeth Hurley) will be wearing, along with the other members of the royal family.
Fictional royals aside, there are numerous real-life royals who have made an impact on the fashion scene—and one of the most memorable was Princess Diana.
Affectionately referred to as "Dynasty Di" (a nicknamed earned for the big sleeves that she used to wear), Diana was a style maker and trendsetter all her own in the '90s. While her union to Prince Charles didn't last, her style remained, and she left behind a fashion legacy that people would remember forever.
Diana's outfits were whimsical, colorful, and certainly eye-catching—ranging from fairytale princess gowns to sexy dresses and exotic pantsuits! Some of her most memorable outfits included her pink Jackie O-inspired Versace suit with a matching pillbox hat, her hot red Christian Lacroix dress, as well as her pearl-encrusted Catherine Walker gown complete with a princess tiara.
