House of DVF isn't simply about finding a Global Brand Ambassador to represent the company. It's also about the journeys of several young women and the growth that they undergo during the process of competing for the highly-coveted position.
The girls in the program have been extremely fortunate to have Diane von Furstenberg as their mentor and role model, and as they complete the various challenges, she often takes the time to sit down with them for one-on-one talks and proceeds to share her personal wisdom.
There have been many moments where she's had to talk to the Brand Ambassador candidates—some good (like the time she encouraged Amanda Schauer to stand up for herself) and some bad (when she called Kier Mellour out for being the "bitch of the group.")
But regardless of the situation, Diane always manages to find something positive that she can share with others, whether it be a lesson learned or a piece of sage advice that will last a lifetime.
