Obviously we thought Katy's makeup looked gorgeous last night. Her airbrushed skin, winged eyes and pink lips were perfection. At first (when we saw it from the front) we loved the jumbo twisted bun, but a side view revealed a very artificial-looking hair donut (which kind of looked like a dog chew toy) that was popped over the Grammy-nominated star's real bun. Budget.
Whoa! We love you Madonna, but girl you need some concealer and eight hours of sleep, STAT! We just don't understand how Madge thought that a gold grill would make her look younger than covering up those Louis Vuittons under her eyes.
We are so proud of Swifty for changing up her look. Finally! The Malibu Barbie ponytail was adorable, though we would have loved to see her bangs pulled off her face. The Grammy nominee's icy blue smokey eye gets our award for best eye makeup of the night.
We wanted to love Bey's blunt-cut bob, but the bleached ends look so over-processed, it looked like a crazed fan attacked her gorgeous locks with a pair of scissors. We would have also liked to see her hair pushed back from her face to show off her black smokey eyes and brick red lip.
We don't know if the songstress was going for a faux hawk or a pompadour, but we couldn't stop thinking of an eraser head. Even though we did love her subtle diffused eye makeup, we certainly would have ditched the pale lipstick and given her a red or berry statement lip.
We don't know if it's the pregnancy, just good genes or a combination of both but wow Ciara's skin looked fabulous last night. We loved that the songstress didn't mask her flawless skin with unnecessary makeup, instead opting for a little bit of mascara and a peachy lip.
Based on her look last night, we can understand how Chrissy Teigan became John Legend's muse. We loved the messy beach waves, pulled back on one side with a hidden French braid. The model kept her eye makeup subtle with just a touch of diffused smoke, ensuring that her luminous cheekbones stole the show.
With all the drama on the red carpet, we loved the simplicity of the country songstress's look. With her hair blown smooth in the front and then pulled back into a piecey side chignon, she looked polished and sophisticated. We loved that the Grammy award winner opted for minimal makeup (thin black eyeliner, pale pink eye shadow and a pink lip) to bring out her best features.
Twitter was all abuzz about Lorde's ink-stained fingertips during her performance of "Royals." Is the Grammy winner starting a creepy new nail art trend? Her demonic-looking digits certainly complemented the teenage songstress's gothic dark purple lip and straightened tresses.
Pink showed up with her real, freshly shaven platinum Mohawk. While the Grammy performer's makeup looked pretty, we were disappointed she followed the black eye makeup and nude lip herds.
Anyone else feel like Ariana Grande on the red carpet is like Groundhog Day? She really needs to get rid of the "I'm on my way to a Sadie Hawkins Dance" hair. Enough already. And who let the young songstress leave the house with a visible hair elastic? Amateur hour.
Talk about a party in the back. This may have just looked like a messy, braided top knot from the front, but the Grammy-nominated songstress sported French braids plaited up the back into a top knot. Very warrior-chic.
Rita Ora definitely had one of our favorite looks of the night. Her blond tresses were perfectly sculpted into a modern take on Marilyn Monroe, and her purple-blue smoky eyes made this look really pop.
Holy flawless skin! Amber Rose brought new meaning to the word "luminous." We loved that the model used pink and gold eye shadow to complement her squared-off black winged eye. And that rose gold lip gloss paired with her eye makeup made us think of a sunset.
We loved Miranda's sculpted Old Hollywood waves and flattering red lipstick, but we just don't understand why the country songstress had to go messing up such a beautiful look with gobs of awful self-tanner and bronzer. If you squint your eyes tightly, you can see how perfect the Grammy nominee would have looked had she toned down the fake tan factor.
We have to figure Paris was looking through pics of her mom from the ‘80s to get inspiration for this look. Where do we start? The hair was straight out of Knots Landing and she looked like she was attacked by a rogue makeup artist wielding buckets of bronzer. And that pale pink porn star lip gloss didn't helping this look at all.
We really wish the songstress had rebelled against whomever suggested slicking back her signature "Girl on Fire" hair. It made her look like she just combed it back after doing laps in the pool.
Fantasia gets gold stars all around for her classic yet on-trend makeup: perfectly winged eyes, gold eye shadow and a matte orangey red lip. Though, we do wish she would ditch the bowl cut for a more flattering ‘do.
We are really getting tired of writing about Anna Faris showing up to award shows looking like a cadaver. Why won't anyone on her team gently break it to the Mom star that her skin is too pale and her hair is too light to pull off taupe eye shadow and nude lipstick? She is also in desperate need of some blush and mascara!
As soon as we saw Anna Kendrick hit the red carpet we said, "Now, that's what a movie star looks like." With loose, cascading Old Hollywood waves made modern by slicking back one side, the Grammy presenter exuded glamour. We also loved her subtle eye shadow-winged eye and peachy blush and lipstick.
We hate to say it, but even though Zendaya doesn't have a widow's peak, we couldn't stop thinking of Eddie Munster when we looked at that slicked back hairline. It's just bad. Though, we did love her dark metallic smoky eye and bold brows.
This just isn't okay. We weren't aware colorists were on strike in Los Angeles and that there was a conditioner shortage. Yeah, we know you're Julia Roberts and all, but that doesn't give you the right to present at the Grammys with crispy pool hair that obviously was just released from a ponytail (we can see the hair elastic dent!).
We don't know how to say this without sounding mean, but we think it's better if we just come out with it. We felt Paula looked a bit, well, mannish last night. The actress's faux hawk and makeup just brought more attention to her strong, angular features. The white shimmery eye shadow and tarantula lashes made this look even more drag queen-esque.
