When we saw photos of Alicia Keys at the The Amazing SpiderMan 2 premiere we immediately fell in love with the "Girl on Fire" singer's perfectly winged eyes and creamy nude lip. But how could we get past that hair? We know Alicia is no stranger to the mullet, but this freshly shorn disaster is a new low for the talented songstress.

The good news: We found that if we put our hands together in a V-shape framing Ms. Keys' face in this photo, we can pretend she isn't channeling Joe Dirt. Do that. Okay, now let's talk about her makeup. With just the right amount of champagne shimmer eye shadow on the lid and thick liquid lined eyes, the songstress exudes retro glamour. Usually we would poo-poo a nude lip, but somehow it's just creamy enough that it actually works with this look.

Beauty Bailout: We know Alicia likes to be edgy when it comes to her hair, but we wish she would choose a style that is a bit more flattering. Honestly, we just want to take some big scissors to the back of her head. That party in the back is over!

We would love to see Alicia shave the back, which would instantly transform this into a flattering edgy pixie.

Get the Look: Forget the hair for a second and let's talk about how to recreate the singer's gorgeous makeup. After prepping the upper eye area with primer or concealer, cover the entire area with a matte ivory powder eye shadow.

Then, apply a champagne shimmer eye shadow like Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow in Champagne to the eyelids. Now you want to contour your eyelids with a matte taupe powder eye shadow like Maybelline Expert Wear Chic Naturals Eyeshadow Singles, 170 Earthly Taupe. Using a small contouring brush dipped in the eye shadow, create a windshield wiper motion right above your eye creases. Blend like crazy.

Next, using an angled eyeliner brush dipped in waterproof black gel eyeliner like Essence Gel Eyeliner in Midnight in Paris, create a line along your upper lash line starting at the inner corner, getting gradually thicker as it gets towards the outer corner. Once you reach the outer corner, flick the brush upwards towards the outer corner of your eyebrow to create the perfect wing.

Tip: If your wing shape looks jagged or smeary, use a pointed Q-tip dipped in eye makeup remover to correct any mistakes. Then, reapply eye shadow wherever needed. Complete this look with two to three coats of your favorite volume-building mascara.

To get Alicia's nude pucker, first line and fill in lips with a nude lip liner pencil. Then, with a lip brush apply a creamy nude lipstick like MAC Crème d' Nude.

Alicia is beautiful and talented; we just wish she wasn't so blind when it came to her hairstyles. Perhaps we can bribe her hairstylist to shave off that back section of hair and we'll be in business (in the front and back).
