Beauty Police: Kate Hudson Looks Like Tinker Bell—But Did She Get Caught in a Wind Storm?

It looked like it was a rough flight from Pixie Hollow for Kate Hudson at the BVLGARI Presents "Decades of Glamour" party in West Hollywood last night.

The adorable actress was a definite dead ringer for our favorite Disney fairy with her ethereal skin and perfectly winged eyes, but what's up with the hair?

Listen, we're all for a deconstructed updo, but this ultra-messy chignon took the trend a bit too literally. While we loved the added texture to Kate's hair and the way the chignon was pinned up loosely, there were way too many fuzzy flyaways to make this red carpet appropriate.

But that makeup…that gorgeous makeup! Her skin brought new meaning to the word "flawless" and her eye makeup had an otherworldly glow. If we were to nitpick (and of course we always do), we would have put the 34-year-old actress in a different lip. The nude gloss makes her lips almost disappear.

Get the Look: To ensure that your skin looks as flawless as Kate's, exfoliate with a gentle exfoliator that will brighten and nourish the skin like Eminence Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant.

Then, apply a mask that will give your skin an instant glow like Radical Skincare Instant Revitalizing Mask. Make sure you follow with an ultra-hydrating moisturizer like LIERAC Intense Rehydrating Balm to give your skin a dewy plumpness.

Once your moisturizer has absorbed, follow with a primer. Then apply a foundation that will even skin out and leave a luminous finish like NARS Radiant Cream Compact Foundation. To get Kate's natural-looking flushed cheeks, apply a sheer HD-ready cream blush in a peachy pink like MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Blush in 225.

Follow foundation by covering up any darkness under the eyes and other imperfections with concealer. Prep upper eye area with concealer or primer. Next, cover entire upper eye area with a natural pearl shimmer eye shadow like Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Zephyr.

Apply a cool silver shimmer eye shadow like MAC Cosmetics Eye Shadow in Electra to the lid up to the crease. Then dip an eyeliner brush in the silver eye shadow and line the lower lash line.

Line the upper lash line with a black, matte, long-lasting gel eyeliner like Tarte Aqualillies for Tarte Amazonian clay waterproof liner in black. Start with a thin line at the inner corners of eyes, gradually making the line thicker after you pass the center of your eyeball.

Then, create a thin wing shape from the outer corner of your eyes towards the outer corner of your eyebrows. Complete the eye makeup with a volume-building mascara like New York Color Big Bold Volume by the Lash Mascara.

As we mentioned before, we didn't love Kate's nude lip, which made her already thin lips look even smaller. We would have put Kate in a sheer rosy pink lip stain like Wet n Wild Mega Slicks Lip Balm Stain to give her a "just kissed" lip.

Even though we would have changed Ms. Hudson's lips and added a little more polish to her updo, we still absolutely loved this look. And just like Tinker Bell always said, "All you need is faith, trust and pixie dust." Or in this case, all you need is faith, trust, pixie dust, a little lip color and hairspray.
