Lupita Nyong'o's Washcloth Dress: Gotta Have It or Make It Stop?

What's your take on the 12 Years A Slave star's terrycloth creation?

Is it just us or does Lupita Nyong'o's outfit feel like it might be better used as a cozy fabric to pat your just-washed face?

The soft-pink Calvin Klein frock looks gorgeous on the Oscar-nominated beauty. But it has a definite bathroom supply vibe. If not a washcloth for a delicate face than definitely a post-bathrobe or super soft baby blanket.

We get the need to stay warm during New York Fashion Week but wearing a long-sleeved towel might be taking the idea too far.

Here's the thing. We might like the cut and color on this dress too much to care. Pale pink looks absolutely stunning against the 12 Years A Slave star's deep skin and that belted waist suits her slight frame. We even love the ankle-wrapped sandals, even if that doesn't exactly support the cold-weather situation.

We're going to go against our initial gut and give Lupita points for making a wash cloth work! What's your take?
