On the same day Hulk Hogan's sex tape went viral, Linda Hogan was pulled over and arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence. There's no indication that the two events were related, unless you consider "making poor choices" a related family trait. Hogan was released from jail, and released a comment through her lawyer just a few days later saying that the mother of two was embarrassed.
William Drayton Jr. (better known as Flavor Flav) faced the heat in October when he was taken into custody after an alleged domestic dispute with his fiancee and her teenager, wherein he was accused of threatening one and physically assaulting the other with a knife. Not what you would call a "yeah boy!" situation. Be sure to note the lack of Flav's famous grill in the mug shot. The Public Enemy rapper has said he plans to fight the charges.
Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg, Paul Wall, and, now, Fiona Apple—the list of celebs busted for drugs in Sierra Blanca, Texas continues to grow. In September, the musical savant was snapped wearing this huge black and white jail jumpsuit (it could almost pass as high fashion) after a drug-sniffing dog found hash and pot on her tour bus. She was released the same day on $10,000 bail.
While appearing in a musical in Maine, Sally Struthers, the All In The Family and Gilmore Girls star was busted by the Ogunquit Police Department on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. Her mug shot may be one of the more cheery police photos ever snapped. The actress was charged with an OUI—operating under the influence, a misdemeanor—and released after paying a $160 bail.
If there's one thing you can take away from these celeb mugshots, it's pretty clear: don't drink and drive. Here's Cat Cora, the Bravo TV food star, posing for the Santa Barbara County jailhouse photographer after Kora rear-ended a car and was arrested for failing two breathalyzer tests. Cora struck a plea deal with the courts in August, and won't be going to jail, though she will face 3 years of probation and 9 months of DUI school.
After Amanda Bynes—who claims she doesn't drink—was arrested for driving under the influence, she took to the Twitters to file a formal complaint with our president: "Hey @BarackObama... I don't drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don't hit and run. The end." So far, Bynes has avoided any jail time, causing another cantankerous child actress to take to Twitter in annoyance: "@lindseylohan Why did I get put in jail and a Nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?"
Amber Portwood has been in trouble since last December when she was arrested under drug charges that ultimately landed her in the slammer in early May. After just a week of freedom from the big house, she was returned to jail under contempt of court charges, wherein this closed-eye photo was snapped. In June, some very bad news for Portwood: she was sentenced to five years of prison on drug charges.
Russell Brand is known for being both fiery and funny, and on this occasion, he showed off just how good he can be at the former. In March, a warrant was issued for his arrest after he smashed in an office window using a paparazzo's cell phone. A few months after the incident, Brand was officially charged with a misdemeanor for criminal damage, and fined.
If Shaun White's recent behavior is any indication, the snowboarding icon has made a complete 180 since his glory days as an Olympic medalist. In September, this mug shot was snapped after White, sporting bruises and a black eye, pulled the fire alarm at Nashville's Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, and was then captured and booked under vandalism and public intoxication charges. The charges were later dismissed by a judge who instead sent him to alcohol treatment and community service.
Randy Travis is a pioneer of contemporary country music, and he's also apparently a proponent of partying hard on gameday. On Super Bowl Sunday of this year, Travis was found in his parked car noticeably intoxicated, with his buddy, a bottle of wine. The singer was arrested for public intoxication, and the whole thing was recorded on tape. Just weeks later, Travis was charged with simple assault...in his church parking lot.
