Why She Will Be Nominated: She has a solid history of getting wins for guest roles (Friends) and nods for lead roles (Samantha Who?) in her comedies. Who doesn't love Christina Applegate?!
Why She Won't: The same reason her costar Will Arnett might miss a nomination: Up All Night took too much time to find a rhythm, and the voters might want to see what its second season looks like before handing out Emmy votes to them.

Why She Will Be Nominated: After all her years in television, Cox has yet to get an Emmy nomination! This might finally be the year the voters give her a nod for her very funny work on the ABC TBS series.
Why She Won't: Her (unfair) track record might ruin her chances again this year, and Cougar Town still isn't on the voters' radars.
Why She Will Be Nominated: While Emmy voters love to bestow nominations to her show and her costars, Cuoco hasn't felt any of the love. She might finally be recognized this year, as Big Bang Theory continues to dominate the ratings and the award shows.
Why She Won't: The academy might just give nods to the boys (Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki) again and overlook her until next year.
Why She Will Be Nominated: She won the Golden Globe this year, edging out Tina Fey, Zooey Deschanel, Laura Linney and Amy Poehler. Not an easy crowd to beat.
Why She Won't: Enlightened is pretty under-the-radar in terms of cable shows, but the Golden Globe win is a big indication that Dern will get the nod.
Is Laura your pick? Vote in our poll!
Why She Will Be Nominated: New Girl was not only the hit new comedy of the TV season, but Zooey became everyone's "adorkable" (sick of that word, yet?) leading lady. She's different, she's spunky, and most importantly…she's funny.
Why She Won't: Voters might be oversaturated with New Girl/Zooey-ness after all the press and attention on them, or they'll just give the show a Best Comedy Series nod and be done with it until next year.
Why She Will Be Nominated: Since the very day it premiered, Girls was all anybody could talk about. And Lena leading the series makes her an almost-guaranteed nominee.
Why She Won't: Half the time people were talking about Girls, it was about the lack of racial diversity or something else controversial. Plus, the show might be a bit too eccentric for the Academy to pay attention to it.
Why She Will Be Nominated: She's Edie Falco. The Emmy voters adore her to pieces. And she's been nominated for Nurse Jackie the past two years, winning in 2010.
Why She Won't Be: Perhaps they'll want to spread the wealth to other people this year? Although, it's hard to remember an Emmys without Edie Falco nominated.
Is Edie getting yet another nod? Vote in the poll!
Why She Will Be Nominated: Same reason as our dear Edie Falco, but this time it's because she's Tina Fey. She's been nominated five times for her role as Liz Lemon, winning in 2008.
Why She Won't: A lot of voters think 30 Rock's ship has sailed, and with its last season around the corner, they might wait until after the series finale to pay attention to it again.
Why She Will Be Nominated: She was nominated last year, and the second season of The Big C was even stronger than the first.
Why She Won't: It's tough competition this year, and we think Dern would come away with a nomination before Linney again.
Why She Will Be Nominated: JLD is a favorite when it comes to the Emmy's, and her role on Veep has been a strong and very welcome return to TV.
Why She Won't: She most likely will be, but the voters might want to see Veep's second season before giving her a nod.
Vote for your favorite Best Actress in a Comedy!
Why She Will Be Nominated: Everyone is a Melissa McCarthy fan, especially after Bridesmaids mania. And she's the big winner from last year.
Why She Won't: Mike & Molly doesn't exactly give her the best material, and the Academy might not think it's necessary to give her another nod after awarding her with the Emmy last year.
Why She Will Be Nominated: Honestly, her performace in the finale alone made us start making "Lea Michele for Emmy Queen!" posters. The scene when Finn (Cory Monteith) breaking up with her in the car? Some of her best work on Glee ever.
Why She Won't: Emmy voters seem to have hopped off the Glee bandwagon, and even though the finale was a great episode, the sitgma attached to Glee's uneven (at best) season three might wreck her chances.
Why She Will Be Nominated: She was nominated last year, and Raising Hope continues to crank out award-worthy material for its cast.
Why She Won't: Raising Hope still doesn't scream out "nominated us!" to voters, and they might give the nod to newer ladies in the race, like Deschanel or Dunham.
Is Martha destined to repeat her nomination? Vote in our Best Actress in a Comedy poll!
Why She Will Be Nominated: Because she damn well deserves to be! Parks and Rec is one of the best comedies on television, and Poehler had so much to work with this year. If she was nominated last year, she definitely needs to get another nod this year.
Why She Won't: We wouldn't even allow this. We would riot.
