A trial-worthy death, it seems, as Wisteria Lane's resident husband-stealer (and all around fab be-yotch) Edit Britt (Nicollette Sheridan) learned her husband at the time, Dave, had far more dubious intentions that anyone knew and, in an effort to warn others, drove her car into an electrical post, stepped out of her car into a puddle and was shocked to death.
In one of the worst-kept secrets—thanks to testimony in the Sheridan trial—spoiler lovers found out that Wisteria's hottest plumber Mike (James Denton) would bite the dust just mere days before it would shock on the series. And yet it was still tear-jerking, as Mike confessed his love to Susan (Teri Hatcher), then was mowed down by a vengeful loan shark in a drive-by.
One of the most intense moments to date was the grocery-store showdown, when Wisteria resident Carolyn (Laurie Metcalf) opened fire in an attempt to get even with her two-timing husband, eventually killing baby mama Nora (Kiersten Warren) and maiming Lynette (Felicity Huffman) before getting shot herself.
In an attempt to make more moola, Susan accepts a job wearing lingerie and cleaning in front of a webcam. Very soft-core stuff. But like all things on Wisteria, it doesn't stay secret for long, when she almost ends up in all her skimpily dressed glory on a billboard! Hey, a girl's gotta eat, right?!
The most shocking moment of a very shocking season? The discovery that Zach Young (Cody Kasch) was not the biological son of Mary Alice and Paul Young…he was actually the son of Mike Delfino! And this was only the first of many bio-mixups on Wisteria Lane.
Remember when Susan inherited that strip club? And with it, a stripper with a heart of gold: Robin Gallagher (Julie Benz). Unlucky-in-love Katherine Mayfair (Dana Delaney) quickly strikes a friendship with Robin, then the ladies get steamy and eventually run off to Paris. Awww!
One of the show's most intriguing mysteries came in the form of Katherine's daughter, Dylan Mayfair (Lyndsy Fonseca)…or whoever she was! After a season's worth of confusion—Dylan turned up on the block not remembering any of her supposed childhood there, Katherine's ex-hubby was an abusive cop, etc.—we find out the real Dylan died in a tragic accident. Dylan 2.0 was Katherine's adopted daughter.
Everyone on Wisteria Lane seems to have a secret—but none as awful as Art Shepherd (Matt Roth), who Lynette deduced was a pedophile, after finding his basement filled with pictures of half-naked boys. News spread down the block and a protest was held, causing Art's handicapped sister to go into cardiac arrest and die…and leaving Art to deliver D.H.'s creepiest threat to Lynn.
Betty Applewhite (Alfre Woodard) wasn't exactly winning any Parent of the Year awards…what with her son Caleb locked up in the basement of their home after allegedly killing his brother Matthew's GF. Surprising, sure, but the real shocker came when we found out Matthew was the real killer. And he was not going down without a fight.
Who knew Gaby Solis' (Eva Longoria) most competent "rival" (well, at least sometimes) would be her own daughter?! The two seemingly polar opposites left everyone wondering where the maternal connection was…until we discovered Juanita was swapped at birth with the daughter of illegal immigrants, Grace. Suffice it to say, the duo made it through and proved what real family really is.
Gaby's abusive stepfather returned with another (what else?!) horrible secret: He raped Gaby when she was a teenager (a fact brought to the surface when she held him at gunpoint in the woods). She tells Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira), who, upon finding Alejandro in his house and threatening Gaby, kills him with a candlestick. Of course, the Housewives came to help cover up the deed.
Just when we (and the rest of Wisteria Lane) thought we had seen it all, a small, private plane crashed into the suburban street during a holiday celebration. The plane narrowly misses Celia Solis (thanks to Lynette) but does hit Santa's Workshop—with Bree, Orson and Karl Mayer (Richard Burgi) inside. And with that, RIP Karl!
It's not just the ladies causing all the destruction on the block: It's the weather too. Like the tornado that stirred up all sorts of lethal ruckus, including whisking Katherine's nemesis Sylvia away (adios!), and causing a brawl between Carlos and Gaby's hubby Victor that leaves that latter dead (RIP John Slattery). That's just the tip of the drama iceberg too.
