Bobby Brown Speaks: "I Wasn't the One That Got Whitney on Drugs"

Bobby Brown says he "didn't get high" before he met Whitney Houston.
Which—as Today's Matt Lauer pointed out during an interview with Brown, his fiancée and three of his children airing Wednesday and Thursday—would surprise those who have assumed for years that Brown got the diva hooked on drugs.
"It makes me feel terrible," Brown says of being blamed for the habit that ultimately led to Houston's death on Feb. 11 at only 48 years old. "But I know differently."
So, just how skewed, according to Brown, were those assumptions regarding his and Houston's 14-year marriage?

Whitney Houston tragically passed away just over two months ago, but the singer-actress is going to light up the silver screen one final time.
On Thursday, a new movie poster for Sparkle, a reboot of the 1976 film, was released. In the film, Houston, who was 48 at the time of her death, plays the mother of three girls who form a singing group.
Although the close-up of Houston's face is radiant, it's Jordin Sparks who shines front and center on the poster.
Houston told Access Hollywood last year that she took on a motherly role towards Sparks, 22.

So it's hardly shocking that Ri-Ri is at it again, this time on the Australian morning talk show Sunrise. If you follow badgalriri on Instagram, you no doubt already know she's been Down Under to promote her movie Battleship.
And while she was (mostly) happy to chat about taking on a Whitney Houston biopic, one topic of conversation caused her to "abruptly end" the interview. And yes, it has to do with Chris Brown…

Whitney Houston's assistant was the one who discovered the pop icon lying face down in her bathtub at the Beverly Hilton on Feb. 11, but it's unclear whether she was the "irate" woman who called hotel security and "kept hanging up" before they could get the whole story, according to a recording of the 911 call made by a hotel staffer and released to the public today.
"Apparently I've got a 46-year-old female found in the bathroom," the caller, who identified himself as "security from the Beverly Hilton," told the operator. "That's all I've got right now, but they're requesting paramedics."
Then there was some confusion as to how dire the situation was.

Whitney Houston can finally rest in peace. Beverly Hills police have closed their investigation into her death—the last piece of lingering red tape from her Feb. 11 passing.
And despite drugs playing a key part in her death, the cops have declined to file any charges.
