Russell Brand Files for Divorce From Katy Perry

It looks like the Internet isn't a "wicked little liar" after all.
Just a day after Russell Brand was spotted sans wedding ring in London in the midst of rumored marriage troubles, the Arthur star has filed for divorce from wife Katy Perry, E! News has confirmed.

"Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage," Brand said in a statement to TMZ. "I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."
Brand cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split in the divorce docs, filed in Los Angeles Friday.
Perry and Brand tied the knot Oct. 23, 2010, in India in a lavish ceremony.
