Most people know Naya Rivera as Glee's Santana Lopez—the sassy, vicious cheerleader who isn't afraid to tell you how it is. But eagle-eyed fans may also recognize Naya from appearances over the years on shows such as Family Matters, 8 Simple Rules and (waaay back) The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
But like most of the actors on Glee, the popular Fox show helped put her on the map.
Rivera had the chance to step outside the box when playing Glee's notorious mean girl, when it was revealed that Santana had a crush on fellow Cheerio, Brittany, played by Heather Morris. As Gleeksrooted for "Britanna" to leave the friend zone, Glee creators, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuck, took note and "Britanna" was born and it couldn't have been a better decision!
In 2010, Naya ranked #61 on Maxim's "Hot 100" and #43 in 2011. She later signed a record contract with Columbia Records for her first solo album and became the celebrity spokesperson for ProActiv.
When she's not heating up the small screen, the actress is likely spending time with her fiancé, rapper Big Sean. After five months of dating, the happy couple announced their engagement in October 2013.
