It looks like our eyes weren't deceiving us, after all.

Just a few months ago, we couldn't help but notice that Megan Fox's Marilyn Monroe tattoo appeared to be fading.

Sure enough, the sexy star is finally dishing that she is, in fact, working on getting the image of the Hollywood icon taken off her forearm for good.

"I'm removing it," Fox told Italian magazine Amica. "It is a negative character, as she suffered from personality disorders and was bipolar. I do not want to attract this kind of negative energy in my life."

The decision to erase the legendary blonde bombshell from her body comes just two years after she told Germany's Bunte magazine why she got the tat in the first place.

"It warns me not to let myself be treated so badly by the film industry so that it breaks me down," the actress said at the time.

Too bad it didn't warn her to sometimes be careful what you say.
