Mark Wahlberg Apologizes for "Insensitive" 9-11 Comments
Mark Wahlberg has issued an apology after boasting in the latest issue of Men's Journal out Friday that he would have prevented a plane from crashing into the World Trade Center, thereby averting many deaths and rewriting 9-11 history.
Foot, meet mouth. So how'd he get into this mess?
Jimmy Fallon to Michelle Bachmann: Sorry for Roots' Rudeness
Whatever his guests' politics, there's no discriminating when it comes to Jimmy Fallon.
The Late Night host took to Twitter to offer up a mea culpa to Republican presidential hopeful Michelle Bachmann for the hubbub caused by his house band, The Roots, who subtly bashed her on Monday night by playing Fishbone's "Lyin' Ass Bitch" as her intro music.
Hilary Swank Axes Reps After Chechen Party Debacle
Hilary Swank is cleaning house.
After the sharp chiding she received from human rights activists after attending a party for Chechen President (and reputed despot) Ramzan Kaydrov, the two-time Oscar winner isn't taking any more chances with her image.
Hilary Swank Really Sorry for Partying With Chechen Human Rights Violator
Party first, think later? It may work for the Parises and Lindsays of the world, but it just didn't become Hilary Swank.
Which explains why there was such a sharp and visceral backlash against the actress after it emerged this week that she had happily attended the birthday concert celebration of Chechen President Ramzan Kaydrov, who never met a human right he couldn't violate.
Well, good news. The double Oscar winner has finally realized the error of her ways and has offered up a mea culpa for her unseemly RSVP…
Bristol Palin Heckler Apologizes for Slamming Her Mom "in the Heat of the Moment"
Not that he'll be voting Republican any time soon, but the guy who bashed Sarah Palin right to Bristol's face admits it wasn't one of his finest moments.
"Having had an opportunity to view the camera footage of the incident this past Thursday at the Saddle Ranch Bar & Chop House in West Hollywood, and having reflected on the incident over the weekend, I have come to the conclusion that no matter what my feelings are towards Sarah Palin, I should not have expressed them towards her daughter, Bristol Palin," Stephen Hanks said in a statement released by his lawyer to E! News.
The admission comes after, according to attorney Michael J. Gulden, Hanks received a number of threats directed at himself, his family—and even his dog! Hence Hanks' decision to drop off the grid by shutting down his various social media accounts.
Madonna to Hydrangeas: Sorry for Hating You! (Or Maybe Not?)
Madonna sure has a funny way of apologizing.
After a video surfaced last week of the Material Girl dissing a fan who gave her the pom pom-like flowers during a press conference at the Venice Film Festival, Madonna issued a mea culpa—of sorts—a silent movie-cum-love letter begging forgiveness for her bitchiness.
So what did she have to say? Lets go to the video...
CBS News Apologizes for Killing Off Steve Jobs Via Twitter
A little birdie tweeted the wrong news today.
The folks at CBS News' weekly web show What's Trending posted word of Steve Jobs' death on their affiliated Twitter account, a mistake that was erased roughly one minute later after realizing they had confirmed no such thing.
As you can imagine, they're quite sorry about errantly reporting that the Apple iCon, who is said to be in failing health, had passed.
Amy Winehouse Blowback: Keri Hilson Apologizes for "Best Tribute Ever," Glee Project Bleeps Ryan Murphy
Keri Hilson just learned the meaning of the words "too soon."
"You are a stupid bitch. No respect for the dead, just sad," wrote one enraged Twitter user in response to a twipic posted by the R&B singer, along with the tweet, "*gasp* Amy Winehouse resurrected to party w/ me!!! (seriously, uncanny resemblance)."
But apparently no one was comforted or impressed by the Winehouse doppelgänger Hilson ran into at a party, especially considering the unidentified look-alike looked pretty out of it.
Paris Really, Truly Sorry for Kicking Lindsay While She's Down
Paris Hilton is very, very sorry.
The celebutante has offered a mea culpa to frenemy Lindsay Lohan for making light of her necklace-napping case in the promo for Hilton's new Oxygen reality series, The World According to Paris.
So how bad was the diss?
Mel Gibson Says Tapes Were Edited: "Who Could Anticipate Such a Personal Betrayal?"
Mel Gibson is talking. (Quietly, and in a reasonable manner.)
"Who anticipates being recorded? Who anticipates that? Who could anticipate such a personal betrayal?" the actor said in his first sit-down since recordings of him lashing out at baby mama Oksana Grigorieva hit the Internet—and he ultimately pleaded no contest to hitting her.
"Of course" Gibson feels regret about what was on those tapes, he says, according to the interview obtained by Deadline Hollywood. But he also claims that the leaked tapes "were edited" and that he has "never treated anyone badly or in a discriminatory way based on their gender, race, religion or sexuality—period."
