The Law & Order: SVU star is definitely going to need the extra free time now that she and husband Peter Hermann have just adopted another child, reports People.

Following Ice-T's lead, Mariska Hargitay is sounding off on Law & Order: SVU costar Christopher Meloni's exit from the show.
"For the past 12 years Chris has been my partner and friend, both on screen and off," Hargitay told TVLine. "He inspired me every day with his integrity, his extraordinary talent and his commitment to the truth. I love him deeply and will miss him terribly—I'm so excited to see what he'll do next."

Mariska Hargitay's cute new baby girl Amaya Josephine made one of her first public appearances on Wednesday as she and Mommy went for a walk around their New York City neighborhood.
Husband and proud papa Peter Hermann, along with the couple's 4-year-old son August, also came along for the stroll.
On second thought, we're glad there's no anti-adorable law. Such sweetness should never be prohibited.

Mariska Hargitay Adopts a Daughter

Mariska Hargitay is "deliriously happy."
The Emmy winner has adopted a daughter with hubby Peter Hermann, their second child together.
"From the minute she was born, she was just surprisingly alert and so full of love," Hargitay tells People, adding that the child was born in the U.S. last week.
