Assuming that the lovely Blake Lively is going to carve that pumpkin and not bake a pie with it, we gotta say she chose well. That's gourd's a beaut. (Of course, she is, too.)

The recently single starlet was spotted in NYC today trying to grab a taxi with her perfectly picked pumpkin cradled in her arms.

We would love to imagine that she might be planning to make sexy jack-o'-lanterns with Green Lantern costar and makeout buddy Ryan Reynolds, because he'd probably do it with his trademark good humor (and maybe his shirt off!) and we wouldn't mind imagining that kind of sweet Halloween treat.
