Lamar Odom is known for being attached to hugely successful franchises.
For example, you may know Lamar from his association with the Clippers, the Heat, the Lakers, the Mavericks—or the Kardashians. As an NBA player, Lamar was already well-known in the sports community. After he met and married Khloé Kardashian in 2009, however, Odom captured a completely different audience by ‘keeping up' with America's favorite E! TV family.
Lamar didn't always have it so easy. After Lamar's mother died of colon cancer when he was 12, Lamar's father was out of the picture and he was raised by his grandmother, Mildred. In a surprising turn of events, Lamar's father has since tried to reconcile with his successful adult son.
Lamar currently has two kids, Destiny and Lamar Jr., with ex girlfriend Liza Morales. (The couple's other son, Jayden, died of SIDS in 2006). Destiny and Lamar Jr. will have step-siblings, as Khloé and Lamar have indicated that they would like to have children eventually.
Unfortunately, plans to expand the Kardashian-Odom family may now be on hold. In August 2013, Lamar was booked on charges of driving under the influence and refusing to take a chemical sobriety test. Despite pleas from his wife and the Kardashian family to seek treatment, Lamar has yet to fully commit himself to an extended stay at a treatment facility.
