Jackson Family Reacts to Conrad Murray's Dwindling Jail Sentence: "It Wasn't Enough Time"
Judge Michael Pastor may have imposed the maximum possible sentence on Conrad Murray this morning—four years behind bars—but as jubilant a reaction as Michael Jackson's family initially had to the punishment, well, cooler, more critical heads seem to have prevailed.
"It wasn't enough time," Jermaine Jackson told E! News on his way out of the courthouse.
Hardly a surprisingly response given that just moments after the hearing ended, Los Angeles Sheriff spokesman Steve Whitmore told E! News that when all is said and done, Murray, as expected, will not serve the four-year sentence doled out to him, but will instead wind up serving "a little less than two years" of that sentence.
The district attorney, however, isn't so sure.
Michael Jackson's Family "Very Happy" With Conrad Murray Conviction

There is no doubt among Michael Jackson's family that justice was served today.
A smiling La Toya Jackson told E! News that she was "very happy" with the guilty verdict for Dr. Conrad Murray, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death from an overdose of the anesthetic propofol.
Outside the courthouse, dozens of sign-wielding fans had erupted into cheers. "This is the best day of my life!" one ebullient woman told E! in reaction to the verdict.
But though the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office got its desired result, there is one thorn sticking in its side.

La Toya Jackson Not Backing Down: "Michael Was Murdered"
A lot of things can change in a year. La Toya Jackson's opinion on what, exactly, befell her brother is clearly not one of them.
In an interview with Britain's GMTV to mark the one-year anniversary of Michael Jackson's death, the famous sibling continued to beat the drum about the conspiracy she believes led to the King of Pop's death and explained why she thinks Conrad Murray's continued freedom is "a slap in the face" not only to the entire Jackson family, but to Michael's fans.
