Titanic 3-D Premieres in London—Where Was Leonardo DiCaprio?!
Ready or not, it's time to go back to Titanic.
The stars of the 1997 blockbuster were in London last night for the world premiere of Titanic 3-D, director James Cameron's technologically enhanced version of his record-breaking, 11-time Academy Award-winning masterpiece. (Not coincidentally at all, next month will mark the 100th anniversary of the real sinking of the RMS Titanic in the Atlantic Ocean on its way from England to New York City.)
So, Tuesday's premiere at Royal Albert Hall was kind of a big deal. But not big enough a deal for Leonardo DiCaprio? The heartthrob of the high seas was conspicuously absent as costars Kate Winslet, Billy Zane, Frances Fisher and Bill Paxton walked the red carpet.
Where was the King of the World last night?!
Afternoon Mail! Which Gleeks Are Gettin' It On?
Dear Ted:
I know you've shot down the Lea Michele-Cory Monteith relationship rumors numerous times, but if they really aren't an item, do you think their flirty Twitter banter (Cory said Lea's Candies shoot "looks pretty hot") and intimately posed photos are a publicity booster or an actual friendship? P.S. Love you and the Awful Truth—downloaded the E! app so I could have it with me all the time.
—Lanna
Dear High School Sweethearts:
Well, to be fair, Lea does look pretty hot in those pics. And she and Cory are definitely friendly—I never said otherwise. But they aren't as hot and heavy as some Gleeks would like them to be either. But Cory probably is a good match for Lea, these days…and she certainly doesn't mind fans getting in a tizzy speculating whether or not Finchel is the real deal.
Dear Ted:
You are the worst gossip columnist ever. People are looking to you for the story on Demi Lovato and all you can offer up is a quote from her publicist? What are you, Gossip Cop or something? Do your job and get on the real story! And at the very least, riddle me this...if Demi isn't in rehab, then where is she? She sure doesn't appear to be available to shoot these rumors down herself.

Lindsay Lohan vs. Megan Fox: Who's Worthy Enough to Play Elizabeth Taylor?
Here at the Awful Truth, we idolize Elizabeth Taylor, so it should come as no surprise we have very strong opinions on who should play the Hollywood legend.
And when we heard Lindsay Lohan was the front-runner for the role, we must admit we were a bit annoyed since we believe another broad can do it better.
So now that Megan Fox is up for the part as well, we must turn to you Awful readers to decide who can really channel the beauty and poise of Ms. Taylor.
And honestly, is anyone worthy enough to play Elizabeth?

Everything's coming up George Clooney!
The Descendants, starring the Cloonmeister as an unraveling dad whose cheatin' wife is in a coma, was named Best Motion Picture, Drama, at the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards, held Sunday at the Beverly Hilton.
For his subtle performance, Clooney was named Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama, and took the opportunity to thank...Brad Pitt?!
Kate Winslet on Lindsay Lohan Rivalry: "I'm Not Gonna Go There"
Those Brits are feisty tonight! When Mildred Pierce winner Kate Winslet came backstage, she had a very, very unusual response when I asked if she was still into playing the fabulous, late Liz Taylor on film!
You know, just like Lindsay Lohan just confessed she wanted to, too!

'90s Flashback Alert: Check Out the Same-Old, All-New Titanic 3D Trailer
Depending on what kind of mood you're in, this will either make you feel depressingly old or joyfully nostalgic.
Here's hoping it's the latter.
Morning Mail! Will Brett Ratner Ever Work Again?
Dear Ted:
I think it was very shrewd of Brett Ratner to resign from the Oscars as opposed to forcing the Academy to fire him. Hopefully, he will learn from this experience and in the future decide to think before he speaks.
—Amanda F.
Dear I Hear Ya:
I think the bottom line on this item is that he is out. Brett needs a muzzle until he can learn to keep his mouth closed. Thankfully, you can't say the things he said, especially in Hollywood (Isaiah Washington knows this lesson only too well). Brett's made his bed, and whether or not he resigned or the Academy asked him to resign remains to be revealed. Everything in the Academy's immediate zero-tolerance messaging on the topic points to the latter.
Dear Ted:
What do you think of Kate Winslet's new beau? Do you think this one will lead to another marriage No. 3?

Kate Winslet's Wax Figure Wows Us
Finally!
A wax figure that doesn't deserve to be stuck at the bottom of the ocean along with a certain luxury liner.
Given how so many of them often end up not resembling the very celeb they're supposed to be, well, celebrating, it was refreshing to see this lovely likeness of Titanic star Kate Winslet unveiled this morning at Madame Tussauds in London.
Appearing almost as elegant as the real deal, the Oscar winner's doppelgänger is dressed in the gorgeous red Elie Saab gown the 36-year-old actress wore to the Emmy Awards in September.
Very impressive indeed.
But what say you? Approve of this wax Winslet?

First Thing Kate Winslet Does During a Fire: Put on a Bra!
Might sound crazy, but it's true!
On the 10th-season premiere of BBC America's The Graham Norton Show, which airs Oct. 29, Kate Winslet stopped by to talk about her latest drama, Contagion. But before getting into that, she shared more on the real drama in her life, mainly, that fire on Necker Island when she saved Richard Branson's grandmother.
Surprisingly, hearing her tell the story was quite funny.
