Justin Bieber Will Take a DNA Test, Source Says

Justin Bieber is ready to be put to the test.

Sources close to the situation tell E! News that Team Bieber has made arrangements for the singer to take a paternity test to determine whether he is the father of Mariah Yeater's child. The plan is for Bieber to do so when he returns to the U.S. in the next couple of weeks from Europe.

According to the source, Bieber & Co. intend to not only take legal action against his 20-year-old accuser but also hold her lawyers accountable for what the singer's reps have previously described as "malicious, defamatory and demonstrably false claims."

"We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations," the Bieber camp said in a statement last Tuesday.

That declaration came shortly after Star magazine broke the news that Yeater had filed a paternity suit against Bieber, alleging he's the father of her 3-month-old son, Trystan, as the result of an backstage tryst Yeater claims the two had in Oct. 2010 at Los Angeles Staples Center.

Attorneys for the Bieb's purported baby mama were unavailable for comment.

Bieber—who attended last night's MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast, Northern Ireland with gal-pal Selena Gomez —doesn't appear to be sweating the story.

On Friday, the 17-year-old singer told NBC's Today that he "never met the woman" and that "none of the allegations are true."
