Jon Cryer: Too Rich to Avoid Clutches of Ex-Wife!

Jon Cryer is getting a new man in Ashton Kutcher, but his real-life former partner will continue getting his money—a lot of it.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has rejected an appeal by the Two and a Half Men star to reduce the amount of child support he kicks in to ex-wife Sarah Trigger.
Apparently, Cryer makes too much money to avoid scratching out that $8,000 check each month.

Seven years after the two divorced, Cryer's complaining about the amount and took his beef to court.
The 46-year-old actor insisted that his former missus was using the money for her own benefit, not for rearing their 11-year-old son, Charlie, whom Cryer has primary custody of.
However the judge disagreed, citing not only the big disparity in their incomes but also the need for Charlie to spend time with his British-born mother who, as it happens, is an actress whose credits include Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey and a guest shot on CSI: Miami.
In denying the thesp's petition, the judge cited family law section 4053, which stipulates, "Child support may therefore appropriately improve the custodial lives of the household to improve the lives of the children."
And that means Cryer—who tied the knot with entertainment reporter Lisa Joyner in 2007 (the two have adopted a daughter together)—must continue to pony up the $8,000 and also must pick up the tab for Sarah's attorney fees totaling $40,000.
Not that he'll have trouble paying. He reportedly banks nearly $600,000 per episode of Two and a Half Men. Ka-ching!
