James Franco Set to Publish His First Novel

Book will be titled Actors Anonymous and is said to be loosely based on the star's life

Is there anything James Franco can't—or won't—do?

The man known for wearing many hats is about to throw his, well, hat, into yet another ring.

Franco is about to unleash his first novel after signing a deal with Amazon Publishing, the New York Observer reports.

Titled Actors Anonymous, the book is said to be loosely based on Franco's life and was acquired by Amazon's fiction editor, Ed Park, a former Los Angeles Times book columnist.

This isn't the 33-year-old star's first foray into the literary world. Franco published Palo Alto, a collection of short stories, last June.

No word on when his latest creative effort will be released.
