While filming his upcoming surfing flick Of Men and Mavericks, Gerard Butler was hospitalized Sunday in Northern California after he was pulled under some big waves, necessitating his rescue.
Gnarly. The good news is the 300 star is OK.

There was plenty of skin to be seen this week as some of the sexiest stars stripped down to barely nada.
There was Gerard Butler heating up the coast of L.A. as he shot scenes for his surfer movie Of Men and Mavericks and Kate Beckinsale bringing her beautiful bod to Mexico while on vacay. But it was definitely Tampa Bay that was feeling more like the inside of a volcano as Channing Tatum, Olivia Munn and Joe Manganiello all shed a bit of clothing in the Florida city to film Magic Mike. Well, it is a stripper flick, after all.
Believe it or not, though, there were several other famous faces who actually managed to get through the last seven days without doffing their duds...

Gerard Butler is just fine, everyone.
Although he recently turned heads with his newly svelte physique, the actor says it's all for art's sake and he's not as skinny as photos seem to depict.
"If I wear a long shirt, everyone says 'Oh my god, he lost so much weight!'," the Scottish star told me backstage at the Diesel show today. "But this is how I look. I just used to be a lot bigger. But now I'm surfing. I'm doing a surf movie so I have to slim down. I don't know...maybe I'm sick or something!"
