LGBT Group Cheers On Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's Engagement!
Yesterday, we heard the glorious news that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are finally engaged.
After seven years and six kids, the gorgeous couple is taking the plunge despite their original vow to wait for marriage equality. "I've said that we would not be getting married until everyone in this country had the right to get married," Pitt told Ellen DeGeneres in September.
So, how is the gay community handling the engagement? Any hard feelings now that the twosome's ready to say "I do"?

Miss Universe Pageant Allows Transgender Women to Compete
Now here's a true flash of beauty.
Transgender women have notched a key victory in a bid for equality, as the Miss Universe Organization announced today that they will be allowed to compete in its pageants.
The move follows a bitter controversy that erupted after transgender Miss Universe Canada hopeful Jenna Talackova was disqualified from competing in her country's pageant for not being a natural-born female.
Transgender Beauty Queen Jenna Talackova Calls On Donald Trump to Scratch "Gender Requirement" Rule
Jenna Talackova isn't afraid to tangle with Donald Trump—and neither is her attorney, the ubiquitous Gloria Allred.
Talackova, the transgender Miss Universe Canada hopeful who was initially disqualified from the competition for not being a "naturally born female" but was told just yesterday that she would be allowed to compete if she can meet her country's "legal gender recognition requirements," is calling on Trump to scratch the whole rule.
And Allred told reporters at a news conference today that her client never asked Trump to prove he was born a man or show her his "anatomy," so "why should it have made a difference to him" how Talackova was born?
Apparently all Trump heard, however, was "Gloria Allred is talking about my penis."
Glee-Smash Crossover! Megan Hilty Smooches Cory Monteith at GLAAD Media Awards
Maybe they should change the name of the show from Smash to Smack!
Show-tunes diehards hustling for a face-off between TV's dueling musical series got a kiss-off instead when Smash's Megan Hilty stepped onstage at Saturday night's GLAAD Media Awards in New York City to plant a big wet one on Glee's Cory Monteith.
Wait—what?!
Yep, you read that right. So how did the two songbirds end up, um, making such sweet music together?
Kirk Cameron Stands Ground on Gay Controversy, Denies Hate Speech: "I Love All People"
The public firestorm that erupted in the wake of Kirk Cameron's comments condemning homosexuality earlier this month took plenty of people by surprise—but none more than the erstwhile Growing Pains star himself, who apparently can't quite understand what all the fuss is about.
In an interview with the Today show this morning, Cameron defended his stance and gave his best efforts at convincing the world that he wasn't propogating hate speech when he referred to gay marriage as "unnatural" and "ultimately detrimental to so many foundations of our civilization."
And even though he didn't amend his views on the matter, he did take a page from the D-list playbook and went so far as to blame that TV scapegoat editing for the presentation of his controversial rhetoric.

Kirk Cameron Defends Himself: "It Is My Life's Mission to Love All People"; GLAAD Doesn't Buy It
Kirk Cameron's aggressive anti-gay comments on Piers Morgan Tonight last week ignited a firestorm of controversy, prompting celebrities to come out in support of the LGBT community and deriding the actor for what they perceive to be his incendiary views.
Throughout the fallout, the one-time Growing Pains star and self-described born-again Christian has remained mum—until now.
Cameron has come forward to defend himself against his critics. But was he successful in swaying public opinion in his favor, or did he dig himself into a deeper hole?
