What a Deelishis turn of events!

Reality TV lothario Flavor Flav has announced he's expecting a child with...well, not with London Charles, the woman who stole his heart on the second season of Flavor of Love

Flav's latest offspring—his seventh—was instead conceived "with a woman he had been dating on and off," the rapper's manager said Wednesday, adding that the baby is due Jan. 2 and that Charles—nicknamed Deelishis on the hit VH1 series—is aware of the situation.

And we're sure she's thrilled.

Flav first spilled the beans on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, telling the radio host he wants 10 kids.

"And one thing I will never do is deny any of my kids," the former Public Enemy member assured his audience.

The 47-year-old Long Island native had a career renaissance in 2004 when he appeared on the third season of VH1's The Surreal Life and promptly hooked up with one of his housemates, actress Brigitte Nielsen. The quirky charm he showed romancing Sylvester Stallone's ex-wife led to their own short-lived yet aptly titled show, Strange Love, and when that relationship fizzled he got his own Bachelor-esque series.

At the end of Flavor of Love's first season, Flav (whose real name is William Drayton Jr.) ended up with Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander, an Internet model from Michigan. Obviously, that didn't work out so well, and Flav moved on to date the mystery woman who's currently carrying his child.

A "shorty in Las Vegas," Flav called her, refusing to say more.

Deelishis won the golden grille, however, during last month's season-two finale, beating out the 20 other girls also vying for Flav's already widespread affections.

The 28-year-old Detroit native has a daughter named Jasmine.

Flav, who says he met Deelishis' family in Detroit and they loved him, currently has six kids—Shaniq, Karen, Designa, Kwan, William and Kayla—and two grandchildren, Brianna and Matthew.

So, now that he knows there's a seventh Flav child on the way, is there also going to be a third season of Flavor of Love, which has proved a ratings winner for VH1?

"Well, it depends on the chemistry of me and Deelishis," Flav said in an interview with the San Jose Mercury News. "We haven't had a chance to date because the show is still on the air and we're under contract...I already did four dating shows, so that's four times dating on TV. Do people really want to see Flavor Flav dating for a fifth time on TV?"

The rapper hasn't forgotten where he came from, though, also using his time in the spotlight to release a self-titled solo album Tuesday.

"I ain't going to lie—not many people get a second time around," Flav said. "I remember my first time around—it happened through rap records, and it was a great run...Then we got cold for a while. And I was wondering, what am I going to do next, how am I going to come out of this?"

We bet Deelishis is wondering the same thing.
