Five Things We Learned About the Bourne Legacy Trailer—For Starters, There's No Matt Damon
Where in the world is Jason Bourne?
That's the question some moviegoers will be asking when they see The Bourne Legacy, the latest installment in Universal's big-screen series based on author Robert Ludlum's spy novels—especially now that everyone's favorite amnesiac CIA operative played by Matt Damon is (temporarily?) sidelined in favor of a new hero.
With the trailer for Legacy now in the wild, here are five things we learned about the Tony Gilroy-helmed flick, which shoots its way into theaters Aug. 3.

Courtney Love's piehole isn't doing Edward Norton any favors.
In seemingly innocuous comments to the New York Post, the Hole frontwoman congratulated her old beau on his engagement to longtime gal-pal, Shauna Robertson. Trouble is, we're not even sure the Oscar-nominated actor is betrothed—and if he is, he's keeping the news to himself.

Wearing a black leather jacket and somehow looking both relaxed and alert, Edward Norton is taking on press duties in Toronto for his much-buzzed new drama Stone. Norton's trying to explain that despite being here last year with the comedy Leaves of Grass and the year before opposite Colin Farrell in Pride and Glory, he doesn't necessarily try to have a film ready for the Toronto International Film Festival every year.
But his answer says a lot about why the stars love coming to Toronto…

UPDATE: Edward Norton just released a statement on Facebook.
"I am so appreciative of the outpouring of support from fans of the Hulk and The Avengers that I feel it would be rude not to respond," his statement reads in part.
"So here goes: It seems it won't work out for me to continue playing Bruce Banner for Marvel in The Avengers. I sincerely hoped it could happen and be great for everyone, but it hasn't turned out as well as we hoped. I know this is disappointing to many people and that makes me sad. But I am very sincerely grateful to Marvel for extending the offer and even more so for giving me the chance to be a part of the Hulk's long and excellent history."
Incredible but True: Edward Norton Booted From The Avengers

Looks like Edward Norton isn't so incredible after all.
Marvel Studios confirms that it's searching for a new actor to play Dr. Bruce Banner/the Incredible Hulk in Joss Whedon's highly anticipated summer 2012 blockbuster The Avengers. Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth have already joined the cast.
Norton starred as the hotheaded Hulk in the studio's 2008 hit The Incredible Hulk and was expected to reprise the role for the star-studded superhero flick.
What's most incredible, perhaps, is the studio's reason for giving Norton the boot.
