Demi Lovato has been like an open book when discussing her life after seeking medical treatment for "emotional and physical issues" last fall.

Back in August, the Skyscraper crooner told E! News one of the big differences she's made in her life has been surrounding herself with positive people.

But two of them, Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez, were there for the former Disney starlet even while she was an in-patient.

On the heels of her Sept. 20 album release, Lovato discussed how Kardashian and Gomez have continued to help her stand strong.

"I feel like there are some people that you're friends with that talk to you on Twitter or you text, but the people that are really there for me are the people that were there for me when I went into treatment," Lovato told Billboard.

"The people that were calling me while I was in there were Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez. Those two girls, they meant the world to me. They still do."

Speaking of the Twitterverse, when Lovato's album hit stands last Tuesday, Kardashian, whom the singer told us has said has been "like a big sister to [her]," and Gomez made sure to show some love.

"My lil sis @ddlovato's album comes out today!!!," the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star tweeted. "I just got UNBROKEN! Go out & get it! Its sooo good! So proud of u Dem! Xo".

"Aw I love you!! Thank you Kim!! :)", Lovato responded

And then it was Gomez's turn to gush.

"Jamming to Unbroken in my car @ddlovato :)", Gomez wrote. To which, Lovato replied, "aww I love you!!!"

And it looks like the support of Lovato's BFFs and her hard work has paid off.

Her third album, Unbroken, landed in the No. 4 spot on the Billboard 200 charts this week, making it the second biggest debut of the week.
