Although I am a huge fan of Stevie's soulful songs, I highly doubt gal would ever make it to the judge's seat. Not that she doesn't have the talent, but she simply doesn't have the same star power as Ms. Lopez. American Idol's got some stiff competition now that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato have officially signed on for X Factor, not to mention A.I. alum Kelly Clarkson is now a mentor on Duets. The reality show needs a stellar female judge if they're going to win the ratings war—dare we suggest Carrie Underwood to fill the empty judge's seat? Send us your ideas!

John Legend is officially throwing down the gauntlet.
The singer is set to star in ABC's new reality singing competition Duets, which pairs superstar judges with contestants on stage for, you guessed it, duets, and he's not shy about expressing his opinion about the merits of Duets. To be specific, he says his show's judges can actually sing.
We caught up with the Grammy winner and his fellow Duets judges Kelly Clarkson and Robin Thicke at the EW-ABC Upfront party, where they all sounded off on Britney and Demi's new X Factor gig. Plus, what does The X Factor's season-one winner think of the new judges?

Reid at the judges table. So when talent walked the red carpet at the upfront presentations in New York City, we just had to get their opinion on the judging choices.

The worst kept secret in Hollywood has finally been confirmed: Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are joining The X Factor!
Fox officially announced at the network's upfront presentation in New York City today that the two former Disney pop princesses will be joining Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid at the judges' table. Spears was so excited to be a part of the show, she tweeted the very first picture of all four judges together!

Of course Demi has a B.V., B! Gal's not shy to admit she once engaged in a rather Vicey past. But that hardly means Demi's dabbling in bad behavior as of late. In fact, I'm impressed with the gal's comeback and actually excited to see the teen queen coach new talent on The X Factor. Can you just imagine Demi and Britney Spears on the boob tube together?! We're getting pumped just thinking about the prospect.

The former costars deny the romance rumors (of course), despite spending quite a bit of time together lately. A trip to Santa Barbara, sushi dinner and a rumored night in at Kutcher's pad. Makes you wonder, doesn't it? But don't expect them to come out and admit it anytime soon. I have a feeling that Ashton is going to play very coy on his love life for a long time (after all that Demi Moore fallout) and Mila isn't in any rush to be locked down either.
