Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry in Court Again—With Child Services

The question of whether or not Gabriel Aubry is going to be able to maintain his current custody arrangement with Halle Berry is up in the air yet again.
Both parents returned to family court Friday for a private, confidential hearing. Daughter Nahla was not present, but sources confirm to E! News that representatives from the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services were sitting in.
So, did Berry's bid to move to France just get a big boost?

Halle Berry can travel to wherever she wants for work, for vacation, for the hell of it, etc. But if she wants to move somewhere—and take her kid with her—that's a whole other story.
The Oscar winner, who once again is dealing with custody issues with ex Gabriel Aubry, has reportedly filed court papers requesting permission to move to France with their daughter, Nahla.
Is that even legally possible?!

Almost five hours after her case was scheduled to be called, Halle Berry arrived to the courtroom around 2:30 p.m. for the latest in her nasty custody battle with ex Gabriel Aubry.
Berry is trying to keep Aubry from having visitation rights with their daughter, Nahla, in the wake of an alleged incident between Aubry and Berry's nanny.
So how'd the court date go?

A judge on Tuesday denied a nanny's request for a restraining order against Halle Berry's baby daddy, Gabriel Aubry, and today the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services paid Berry a visit.

Halle Berry and her baby daddy ex Gabriel Aubry both turned up in Los Angeles Superior Court this morning for an emergency closed-door hearing on whether or not, as reported, Aubry was involved in a physical altercation with the nanny to their 3-year-old daughter Nahla.

Mindy McCready may say she took her son away from his grandma and out of Florida to "protect" him, but right now 5-year-old Zander isn't with any family members at all.
And his grandmother wants to remedy that as soon as possible.
"Currently, our grandson is in foster care with strangers with the State of Arkansas," McCready's mother and stepfather, Gayle and Michael Inge, said in a statement obtained by E! News. "We would like to express our gratitude to the Florida Department of Children and Families for its effort in this case and also to the Arkansas foster family for their help in taking care of our grandson. We would like to plea for his return to Florida before Christmas."

Is Marc Anthony out to make the mother of his twins "suffer"?
"They are portraying Marc as this horrible dad, but it's really unfair because anyone who knows him knows that the kids are the most important thing in the world to him," a source close to Anthony tells E! News in response to a report that Jennifer Lopez's ex is suddenly gunning for joint custody of twins Max and Emme, instead of sticking to the agreement that they already politely hashed out which gave Lopez primary custody.
A rep for Lopez had no comment on Us Weekly's Anthony-bashing cover, but our source insists that nothing has changed as far as what the former couple wants for their children.
Teen Mom Amber Portwood's Child Services Case Closed—Where Does Daughter Go Now?

It's a bittersweet time for Amber Portwood.
Indiana's Child Protective Services has closed its long-gestating investigation into the Teen Mom star, meaning the protective order prohibiting Portwood from seeing her 3-year-old daughter, Leah, and the child's father, Gary Shirley, also goes by the wayside.
Meanwhile, Shirley tweeted Wednesday, "Today amongst all days is the single greatest day for the rest of my life:)...My daughter officially mine. More than before. Love you so much @leah_leann so were hitting up some Disney in Florida to celebrate. :)"
So what does that mean for Portwood?

Earlier Friday, Mindy McCready's ex spoke out about his fear for the safety of their 5-year-old son, Zander, after she failed to take him home after picking him up from his grandfather's for a visit.
Well, good news for the whole family: Zander is safe and sound tonight after a Florida judge signed an emergency pick-up order and authorities took the boy into their care in Arkansas.
And what was Zander, who was supposedly in Nashville with McCready as of last night, doing in Arkansas?

What a mess.
While Mindy McCready's ongoing custody and court order-violating continues—all, she says, in the name of her son's safety—her ex, and the father of the boy in question, is taking time out to speak out and is claiming that while the boy is currently doing "OK," he is growing increasingly concerned about his care in Mindy's hands.
Sitting down with the Today show this morning, Billy McKnight—himself no stranger to falling afoul of the law—seemed somewhat supportive of his ex, albeit not exactly confident in her abilities as a mother.
Not that anyone could blame him there.
