Opie's a grandpappy.

Bryce Dallas Howard and actor hubby Seth Gabel have welcomed their first child into the world.

The Ron Howard progeny, late of Lady in the Water, star gave birth to a baby boy Friday.

However, her rep has declined to elaborate on the tyke's name, birthplace and vital statistics.

The 25-year-old Howard first announced—or rather, could no longer hide—her pregnancy last August while attending the British premiere of M. Night Shyamalan's fantasy-horror flick. At the time, Howard said that she didn't want to talk too much about the pregnancy as she was "a little superstitious."

Some things never change.

Howard and Gabel, a 24-year-old actor who has appeared on Nip/Tuck, The Closer and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, tied the knot in a characteristically hush-hush ceremony in June after five years of dating.

The new mommy will have just a few months of diaper duty before hitting the promotional circuit for two upcoming films.

The first of which, a remake of the Shakespearea's As You Like It, hits big screens this April.

The second of which, the impending blockbuster Spider-Man 3, is due out May 4.

Howard went blonde for the role of Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker's first full-fledged girlfriend in the original Marvel comic book.

At least she may be able to share a babysitter while undergoing the media rounds. Spidey star Tobey Maguire welcomed his own first child, daughter Ruby, in November.

As for Gabel, who also snagged a part in father-in-law Howard's Da Vinci Code last year, he may have to wait a little while to take his paternity leave. The actor just began shooting the dramedy Kids in America, alongside Topher Grace, Anna Faris and Michael Ian Black.
