Miley Cyrus Was Friends With...Etta James?!
Miley Cyrus continues to amaze us.
And no, we're not talking about her choice in birthday cakes.
It's the friendship she had with—ready for this?—the late Etta James.
Who knew?
How'd these two become pals? Read on to find out...
Say "Cheesy!" Miley Cyrus Tweets "Awkward" Family Pic
"Awkward" is a definitely a good way to describe Miley Cyrus' week.
She's been spotted in stonewashed mom jeans. (Ding!) She klutzed out while doing a front flip and cracked her tailbone. (Ding-ding!) And she got very jiggy with a provocatively shaped cake. (Ding-ding-ding!)
Ready for the jackpot? The star is cashing in her chips with this, er, hay-riffic vintage family pic that she just posted on Twitter.
So what does she have to say about La Familia Cyrus?

Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Back On, but Does Billy Ray Approve?
We're so lovin' that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are back together.
The singer and the Aussie hunkster were most recently spotted this weekend shopping in Sydney. He reportedly took a break from filming The Hunger Games in the U.S. to visit her while she's on tour Down Under.
While this relationship has seen its on days and off days, Miley's dad, Billy Ray, is pretty clear on how he feels about Mr. Hemsworth. Read on to find out what Papa Cyrus just told me…
Forget the Lohans, the Cyruses Are the New Osbournes!
Just a few months ago, the Cyruses were top contenders for becoming the next set of Lohans when Billy Ray Cyrus compared daughter Miley to Anna Nicole Smith and suggested the show that put Miley on the map "ruined his family."
More recently, it looked as if the Cyruses had taken a loving turn for the better when Billy Ray reconciled with wife Tish and Miley reunited with The Hunger Games hottie, Liam Hemsworth.
But even though Billy Ray did apologize for his comments, this member of Team Miley wants to remind us why she thinks Billy Ray was so outta line.
Let's just say there's no party in the USA.
Billy Ray Cyrus Undivorcing: The Latest
Billy Ray Cyrus' achy breaky heart is doing much better, thank you.
After telling the women of The View on Friday that he had "dropped the divorce" from estranged wife Tish, E! News can confirm the country star and father of Miley Cyrus wasn't kidding, formally filing a request on March 11 to withdraw his petition.
"The parties are attempting a reconciliation," read court documents obtained by E! News, which a judge signed granting the dismissal.
Mr. Fix-It Billy Ray Cyrus Reclaims Miley, Pledges Love to Hannah Montana, Drops Divorce
Even though he flaked last time, The View kept the hot seat with Billy Ray Cyrus' name on it open.
And, what do you know, it doesn't sound as if he'd like to take his daughter's Hannah Montana fame "back in a second" anymore.
Why? Because things with his family are currently "the best they've ever been."
Should Miley Cyrus Pull a Demi Lovato and Take a Break?
Former Disney darlings Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato have stayed firmly in the public dating scene lately, regardless of their good or bad life situations. Examples of those sitches: Demi's rehab stint and Miley's salvia video along with her parents' divorce and her father's public bashing of Hannah Montana.
Fresh from rehab though, Demi seems better than ever. She looks fab, has been connecting directly with her fans and, even though she may or may not have gotten back with ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, the babe appears to be healthier than ever.
Should Miley pull a Demi?
Bitch-Back! Can Christina Aguilera Bounce Back?
Dear Ted:
Is it just me, or does Christina Aguilera seem to rub people the wrong way lately? The girl is super talented, and it's just sad to see her going through a rough patch in her life at the moment. But like the phoenix that she is, I know she will rise up again and take over the charts in no time. If Britney and Mariah did it then, Xtina can do it too, but why are people extra-hard on her?
—inglewoodcutie2005
Dear Sober Comeback:
I really don't think people are too hard on her. Christina needs to get it together and be a responsible mom before she's a responsible pop star. With those killer vocals, I absolutely know she will bounce back. I just hope she does it minus the booze. It's not helping, and that in itself is the anatomy of a meltdown. It took Britney a few years to get to where she's at now, so speed it up, Xtina. We miss you. Start rehabbing it stat so we can get back to supporting your stardom.
Dear Ted:
Waiting oh so patiently for the Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder scoop you mentioned earlier this week. Will we be receiving this soon?

Billy Ray Cyrus Wants to "Heal" His Family (Now That He's Done Throwing Them All Under the Bus)
Billy Ray Cyrus may think that Hannah Montana destroyed his family. But he seems to be picking up where the Disney series left off.
After mouthing off to GQ about the perils of being Miley Cyrus' papa, the mullet enthusiast has again spoken out, this time in the wake of his View appearance that wasn't, and is once more in damage mode. Er, make that healing mode.
Turns out, this whole thing was just one big misunderstanding!
Bitch-Back! Miley and Mayer: a Match Made in Stupid!
Dear Ted:
Miley Cyrus and John Mayer? While it makes a certain sense, isn't he like 15 years older than her?
—me
Dear Underage Enabler:
Heard this; hoping it's not true. The last thing that girl needs is to be tied to this stinky heartbreaker. Taylor Swift, anybody? At least Tay could get out of that sitch with a song instead of a full-on scratch on her reputation. Miley won't make it after Mayer, fact. If, indeed, they are shacking up. Plus, Billy Ray might blame him for the breakup backlash later. That family has enough to deal with.
Dear Ted:
You say that Lea Michele's Glee costars are doing far worse things. Do you have any examples? I really hope it's not Dianna or Cory. They seem so nice and down-to-earth.
