The superstar actor-cum-activist-cum-overall awesome guy will reportedly rustle up $12 million at his May 10 fundraising dinner for President Barack Obama in Los Angeles, scoring a record as the biggest U.S. presidential campaign fundraiser in history, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Or, let's put it this way: That's more money than what the heavily hyped The Five-Year Engagement recently made on its opening weekend.

Hollywood's A-list took Washington, D.C., by storm Saturday evening for the 2012 White House Correspondents' Dinner hosted by President Barack Obama and funnyman Jimmy Kimmel

E!'s very own Kim Kardashian channeled old-Hollywood and flaunted her famous curves in a regal looking green velvet gown with sequined detail, complete with a smoky eye-look and chic top bun, and of course, diamonds.

Kim's momager Kris Jenner took another route, and opted for a more edgy look, rocking a red silk gown and even edgier hair do.

Like Kim, also working the top bun was Kate Hudson, who dazzled in a purple long sleeved floor length sequined gown.

Ted Nugent appears to think that by siding with the commander-in-chief, the Army has done its own soldiers a disservice.

"To think that there's a bureaucrat in the United States Army that would consider the use or abuse of First Amendment rights in determining who is going to perform at an Army base is an insult and defiles the sacrifices of those heroes who fought for the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights," the "Stranglehold" singer told the Associated Press in response to Fort Knox's decision to cancel an upcoming Nugent performance after his latest pot shot at President Barack Obama.

Basically, Nugent maintains that what he said was not meant to be taken as a threat on the president.
