Ashton Kutcher's charity foundation with Demi Moore was being honored last night in NYC, and although she wasn't on hand herself, he had an important symbol of her on his hand: his wedding ring.

Ashton walked the carpet at GQ Gentlemen's Ball quickly, doing no interviews and with his left hand jammed in his pocket the entire time.

Once inside the cocktail reception at the Edison Ballroom, he still tried to keep it hidden...

While chatting with various execs inside, Ashton held his drink in his right hand and continued trying to keep his left hand out of sight.

It wasn't until he took the podium to present an award to Adrian Peterson on behalf of his DNA Foundation that he actually showed off his other hand, on which he was indeed wearing his wedding band.

The actor got visibly choked up when speaking about his cause, which aims to end child sex slavery. "It destroyed me to think about the fact that there's a little girl or a little boy out there in the world today that a grown man is going to take advantage of, so I'm honored to be here today," he told the audience.

Jason Sudeikis and Josh Lucas were also presenters at the men's mag event, which was sponsored by Nautica and Land Rover.
