Amy Smart Engaged to Hunky HGTV Dude

Now this is what we call a Smart move.

After just a few months of dating, Amy Smart has gotten engaged to Carter Oosterhouse, the hammer-wielding DIY hunk who hosts HGTV's Carter Can. No wedding date has yet been set, but it will be the first trip down the aisle for both the 35-year-old Just Friends star and the 34-year-old carpenter.

So how'd the proposal go down?

"I just got engaged on Sunday," she told OK! "I'm so happy. It was so beautiful, romantic and I was completely surprised.

"I'm just really happy and enjoying this time."

And that's as much detail as she's willing to give, refusing to elaborate on the proposal.

"That's personal," she said, "but it was very touching, very loving."

"I think he's an incredible man on so many levels. He's so kind, so respectful, loving…he's got so many qualities that I can't wait to spend my life with."

Aww. Move over, Will and Kate.

As for Amy and Carter, their relationship progressed rather quickly. The duo was only outed as a couple earlier this year, and their relationship came after Smart's nearly 15-year partnership to actor Branden Williams ended late last year.

Oosterhouse and Smart reportedly met while attending a green charity event last November.

Which makes their engagement announcement smack in the middle of Green Week pretty perfect, wouldn't you say?
