In the case of Pixar, it's hard to pick a favorite film, isn't it?
As of 2017, the studio has released 18 features, all of which were released under the Walt Disney Pictures banner. With the D23 Expo underway in Anaheim, Calif., E! News is looking back at Toy Story, the movie that started it all, and every film that led to Cars 3, Pixar's latest release.
Various editors and writers were consulted and had the chance to weigh in for this article, and it's very likely that readers will disagree with E! News' collective assessment. We're open to hearing your arguments, so leave a comment—and who knows? Perhaps our rankings will shift.
Without further ado, here is our ranking of Pixar's 18 best movies:
Pixar's upcoming films include Coco (2017), The Incredibles 2 (2018), Toy Story 4 (2019), two untitled features set for release in 2020, and another untitled feature set for release in 2021.
Additional details surrounding the upcoming films will be announced at D23 over the weekend.
Eight of Pixar's movies have won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature: Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, WALL-E, Up, Toy Story 3, Brave and Inside Out. The studio has been awarded five additional Oscars for its features—and its shorts have won three Oscars.
