America Ferrera is simply stunning on the red carpet at the 2016 Emmy Awards, wearing a beautiful navy blue, sequin 70s-style Jenny Packham gown...but the best part about her look is that she's actually radiating from the inside tonight!
Chatting on the red carpet with E! News' Giuliana Rancic, the Superstore actress revealed she's feeling very confident and proud after kicking off the big weekend by celebrating the strength of her body and doing her very first triathlon on Saturday!
"I just did my first triathlon yesterday," she told us. "It was incredible. I'm proud of committing to it and doing it as I am just about everything else I've done in my life. And it was incredible."
Of course, we couldn't help but wonder what kind of mental state she had to get in to prepare for the trying task.
"A friend of mine lost her mother to Lymphoma, and many friends of mine have suffered through cancers, and so doing it for a bigger cause was also incredibly inspiring," she explained. "Just kept my head in the right space, which is I have an able, beautiful, strong body and I couldn't be more grateful."
She continued, "I'm so grateful for my body, how healthy it is, how strong it is and that I'm able. That was my main thought—'I'm so grateful that I'm able to do this.'"
Meanwhile, the actress is also beaming over her show Superstore.
"The show is so fun," she gushed to Rancic. "I love that our audience loves it and that people are finding it. There's so much to watch on TV right now, so many wonderful shows and so much talent. The fact that we're finding our audience is really exciting."
We can't wait to watch Ferrera take that confidence and positivity on stage tonight at the Emmys as she presents one of the show's awards.
