That's 12 for Veep!

HBO's acclaimed political comedy has just won its 12th Emmy, and its second for best comedy.

Larry David presented the award, and while star his former Seinfeld coworker Julia Louis-Dreyfus left the acceptance speech up to executive producer David Mandel, she kept herself exactly where we would prefer she stays: in the spotlight.

Fresh off of her fifth consecutive best actress in a comedy win, and after tripping up the stairs, Jennifer Lawrence-style, on her way up to the stage, she pulled out her bright red cell phone and recorded the audience throughout Mandel's speech, from right behind his shoulder.

Despite JLD's shining existence, Mandel did his best to prove why he's at the helm of one of TV's funniest shows.

"Holy crap," he began. "I have a 9:30 a.m. library shift at my son's school tomorrow morning. If anyone is willing to trade with me, email me."

While searching for his list of people to thank, Mandel pulled a red piece of paper out of his pocket.

"That's my parking ticket," he said. "Although actually if they could bring car 1-5-0 around, that would actually get things moving."

Among cast members, executives, crew members, and former bosses, Mandel also thanked his agent's Instagram, and dedicated the award to "chubby Jews from the upper west side, wherever you are."

Veep was up against quite the list of shows, including Transparent, Silicon ValleyMaster of None, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Black-ish, and previous constant winner Modern Family
