LeAnn Rimes has made it no secret that being a stepparent can have its share of ups and downs.
After marrying Eddie Cibrian, the country artist welcomed two stepsons who also share plenty of time with their mom Brandi Glanville.
But in a new interview on ITV1's Loose Women, the 33-year-old admitted that her entire family is finally in a really good place.
"My stepsons are nine and 13. They were two and six when I first met them. It was quite the adjustment. I think any blended family, it takes a while," she shared on the talk show. "Over the past year, year and a half, I feel like we're finally settled in."
LeAnn added, "We're not exempt [to struggles] because you see our faces."
Through the ups and downs, the singer has had her husband be her biggest teammate when it comes to parenting. Fortunately, both of the boys are very well-behaved kids even as they quickly approach their teenage years.
"My husband and I are a team and that's how we have to approach parenting," she shared. "They've always been super respectful of me. They are good to me."
When asked if she would like to have a baby with Eddie, LeAnn played coy and simply joked, "We practice a lot."
In the meantime, LeAnn is focused on her new music—including the single titled "The Story"—that allowed her to "let go" of part of her past.
"My mom and I have an interesting relationship. I love her to death but as any mother and daughter, something happened with my stepsons which made me feel like a tenth of what I think she probably felt with me and something clicked," she explained. "I was texting her going, ‘I'm so sorry!'"
And that's the power of music.
