This Is How You Get Mermaid-Inspired Boho Hair

If you've seen one bikini runway show, you've seen them all, right? Wrong.

A bikini is pretty basic, but if we're talking about a runway show, there's a lot more that goes into it than you might think. For instance, what's the theme? How do you accessorize the looks? How do you achieve bikini-ready hair? To get the lowdown, E! Style Contributor finalist Ida Tedesco was backstage at the Beach Bunny Miami Swim Week presentation.

First order of business? Chatting with TRESemmé hairstylist John D about how to recreate mermaid-inspired hair looks at home. Hint: The key to undone beach hair involves a little bit of volume and a few loose braids. 

For texture, use a large barrel curling iron to create undone waves and back comb at the roots for a bit of lift (and don't forget to add in a few loose braids). If you want to go a step further to personalize your look, follow the pro's lead and throw some mixed metal rings into your braids. As for the rest of your new summer look, think: Boho swimsuits in shades of pastel, accessorized with sequins, glitter and layers of dainty jewelry.
