Vin Diesel is a tough guy action hero, but the thought of singing in a church choir always intimidated him...

Not anymore, though! Thanks to the Toronto-based gospel choir Sharon Riley and the Faith Chorale, Vin was able to overcome his fear and make a lifelong dream come true. Not only did the xXx: The Return of Xander Cage star sing with the talented 13-member group in church, but he lead them in a soulful rendition of "Oh, Happy Day!"

The video above, obtained by WorldStarHiphop.com, shows the actor keeping right in sync with the talented group of singers. Per CTV News, Vin and his xXx co-star Samuel L. Jackson shot a scene Tuesday in a downtown Toronto church. During a production break, Vin confessed his choir-singing aspirations to the group.

"I just wanted to say that a dream of mine always, has been to have the confidence to sing in a choir," he tells the choir in a video posted by one of its members. "Although my grandmother would take me to the choir every weekend, I never had that little bit of confidence to get up there and sing."

And sing, he did! Sharon Riley and the Faith Chorale also filmed a scene for xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, but this won't be their first time on the big screen. Per CTV News, the award-winning gospel group is also featured in Blues Brothers 2000, a sequel to 1980's Blues Brothers starring Dan Akyroyd.

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage is expected to hit theaters in 2017.
