The more things change, the more they stay the same.

It's hard to believe that it's been nearly 17 years since Cruel Intentions hit the big screen and fans fell in love with Kathryn, Sebastian and Annette.

Lucky for loyal fans, the box office success is heading to the small screen where things are starting to look a whole lot familiar on set.

In a new Instagram post shared on Monday evening, Sarah Michelle Gellar took us back to a classic scene from the 1999 movie. At the same time, she gave us a delicious tease of what's to come.

"'Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it.'(Or in my case lucky to repeat it)," she wrote online. "#Crueltv"

Just last month, E! News confirmed that Sarah was signed on to reprise her role as Kathryn in NBC's Cruel Intentions sequel. The series will follow Kathryn's quest to control Bash, the son of Annette Hargrove (originally played by Reese Witherspoon), and the deceased Sebastian Valmont (originally played by Ryan Phillippe), as he leaves his small Kansas town to learn more about his family's legacy at Brighton Preparatory Academy.

Ever since her days on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sarah has starred opposite the late Robin Williams in the sweet but short-lived comedy The Crazy Ones. She also and starred opposite herself in the short-lived but not quite as sweet drama, Ringer.

And for those wondering if any other cast members from the original series are coming back for appearances, nothing has been announced just yet.

That won't stop us from crossing our fingers and toes!
