After landing the 2015 cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Issue, Hannah Davis became one of the hottest models of the moment, taking on gig after gig, different roles in movies and television shows and then topping it all off with an engagement ring from New York Yankees icon, Derek Jeter.
While lots of people wonder how Davis got the well-known bachelor to settle down, we want to know how he landed her!
Well, the 25-year-old covers the March issue of Maxim magazine—showing off her big ol' sparkler—and dishes on the specific quality about him that got her to say "yes" (and it's more than just his good looks and baseball-sponsored bank account).
"Trying to impress you with material things? I think that's lame," she told the publication. "I wanted someone whose family is a big, important part of their life."
Another important factor for Davis? Privacy. Being two highly-publicized people who are continuously sharing their lives with the world, the model says the one thing she wants to keep to herself is her relationship.
"I feel like I have to share every other part of my life. It's that one part that's a little bit of a mystery to people, but that's the way we want it," she explained. "The only way to protect it is not to talk about it."
She also maintains another philosophy that's incredibly important to staying sane as a public figure: keeping calm.
"I'm not a worrier," Davis told Maxim. "There's no point. My philosophy is to let everyone else worry."
We're guessing she's taking that philosophy into wedding planning, too. Though no date has been set just yet, Jeter and Davis' engagement was confirmed in October.
"They are extremely excited and in love!" a source told E! News at the time. "They can't wait to spend their lives together."
