Mad Max: Fury Road might have swept at the 2016 Oscars Sunday night, but Seth Meyers is here to remind you that some award-winning movies can be relatively silly when you think about them at their core.
The Late Night With Seth Meyers host created a segment called Reasonable Max Monday night, in which he parodied the Charlize Theron-starring film. When "Max's" friends decided to take a trip to Gas Town, Meyers' character stepped in to really weigh the pros and cons of making such a journey.
"It feels a little silly," he said, "and if I'm being honest, very irresponsible that whenever we go to get gasoline we drive a fleet of muscle cars that literally shoot out fire."
But Immortan Joe's followers insisted Reasonable Max was just being a bit of a fun sponge instead of practical. Insisting that their War Rig is beyond awesome, the followers booed Reasonable Max and he deferred to them, saying, "The cars look cool."
When one guy decided to celebrate Reasonable Max's admission by busting out a guitar, it got a little out of control.
