Watch: Tina Fey Wants Chris Rock to "Fix the World" at Oscars

Let's be real, tonight is not just about finding out who is going home with a trophy. Tonight, people are also waiting to hear what host Chris Rock is going to say while addressing the ongoing #OscarsSoWhite controversy during his monologue.

Tina Fey, who is no stranger to leading these types of shows as the entertaining emcee, shares that while she doesn't believe Rock is nervous for his gig tonight, she does think there are some "crazy high expectations" placed upon him.

"You know what, Chris is the best in the business, so I can't imagine…he's not nervous to get out there and do jokes in front of people," Fey tells E!'s Ryan Seacrest exclusively. "I think there are some crazy high expectations for—can he fix the world tonight with his jokes?"

Clearly, the actress and funnywoman doesn't have the answer for that, but she does add, "I think he's the best person to try."

The Academy

Rock has hinted that he will definitely be making some sort of remarks directed at the diversity issue, recently teasing fans by tweeting, "The #Oscars. The White BET Awards." And later, tweeting once more about the racial controversy surrounding this year's awards: "See you Sunday... #blackout #oscars," he wrote alongside a video of TV static.

As a reminder, there are 20 nominees in the four main categories and all 20 of them are white. Meanwhile, the Academy has vowed to boost the number of female and "diverse" members over the next five years.

In his interview with Essence, Rock said he is going to do his best hosting the Oscars, which will mark his second time since 2005.

"It could go horribly wrong," he told the magazine. "Don't ever think that it can't. That's when it goes wrong—when you don't think there's any chance of it going wrong. If you know it won't, it probably won't."

Even the Academy president is ready for whatever Rock will be serving tonight.

Cheryl Boone Isaacs told the Hollywood Reporter in a joint interview with Academy CEO Dawn Hudson, "Well, we've always known he was gonna go there, right? This is Chris."

"We know who he is," she continued. "He is a brilliant, brilliant, observant comedian and performer, and he is a brilliant host. And yes, we want him to, obviously, because way before this, our selection of Chris was to bring some edge and some fun and some funny—intelligent funny—to the telecast. So we know he's going to do that."
