Saoirse Ronan has come a long way since she walked her first Oscars red carpet.
At Sunday's 2016 Oscars, the 21-year-old Irish actress showed off her Irish spirit in a glittering, strappy, cleavage-baring emerald Calvin Klein gown, paired with matching earrings. Ronan is nominated for her second Oscar, for her leading role in Brooklyn, competing against Cate Blanchett for Carol, Brie Larson for Room, Jennifer Lawrence for Joy and Charlotte Rampling for 45 Years.
At age 13, Ronan attended the 2008 Oscars, her first awards show. She also wore green—she wore a romantic empire waist, cap sleeve gown. She was nominated for her supporting role in Atonement and lost to Tilda Swinton for Michael Clayton.
The 2016 Oscars ceremony is "completely different" from the 2008 show "'cause I know people now," Ronan joked to E!'s Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet.
"It's lovely," she continued. "When I was here before, that was my first awards show and that's quite incredible for that to be your first awards show. i was so huge and I didn't know anyone and it was a very different experience."
