Meghan Trainor Cries Through Her Acceptance Speech After Winning Best New Artist at the 2016 Grammys: "I'm a Mess!"

Sam Smith presented the 22-year-old with the award, with the "Dear Future Husband" singer thanking L.A. Reid and her parents

Well, she won't singing "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" tonight!

Meghan Trainor won Best New Artist the at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards on Monday night, with last year's winner Sam Smith presenting her with the award. And the "Dear Future Husband" was in tears from the moment she got to the microphone, crying throughout her emotional acceptance speech.

"I have to thank L.A. Reid for looking at me like an artist instead of just a songwriter," Trainor, 22, said, before going on to thank her parents, adding, "And my mom and dad, for always believing in me." (Her dad Gary was her date for the night.)

Before leaving the stage, Trainor said, "I'm a mess, I have to cry!"

The "All About That Bass" crooner beat out Sam Hunt, James Bay, Tori Kelly and Courtney Barnett to take home the award for Best New Artist.

Before taking home the big prize, Trainor, who was sporting darker new 'do, dropped major news about her next album when she chatted with E! News' Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet: When it will be available for pre-order. "I don't know if I'm allowed to say this," she admitted. "Around March. March 4, the pre-order will start."

During the show, Trainor joined Demi Lovato, John Legend, Luke Bryan and Tyrese on stage for a tribute to Lionel Richie
