The smoky eye is so 2015.

We kid (the classic smoky will always be our trusty go-to), but for special occasions, why not shake it up just a smidge.

You might not have the GRAMMYs on your agenda like Zendaya, but that doesn't mean the beauty girl's red carpet makeup can't inspire your next going-out look.

And if you think her shimmery smoky eye is too hard to recreate yourself—we have news for you: Zendaya actually did her own makeup for the GRAMMYs.

If you didn't catch our step-by-step Glamsnap tutorial (via the @E_News Snapchat), keep reading for the lowdown on how to get the star's standout eye makeup.

Step 1: Using a light brown eye shadow (like the light brown color in the COVERGIRL Trunaked Eyeshadow Palettes in Goldens), apply the color to the crease of the eye only. Repeat, layering over just the crease, using two darker, matte brown shades (from the same palette) to give the look depth.

Step 2: Using a champagne-colored shimmer, line the top lash line, and pull the shadow upwards from the lash line to the crease of the lid.

Step 3: On the top lash line, use a liquid eyeliner, starting at the inner corner extending to the outer corner to create a cat-eye.

Step 4: For a big event wear lashes for extra drama, or go without since COVERGIRL's Plumpify Blastpro by Lashblast Mascara will stand on its own, adding volume and lift without falsies.

Hey, if Zendaya can do it, so can you!
